Enhancing Kill Chain Integration with Secure Data and Decision Flows
Designing resilient, high-assurance architecture for real-time operational intelligence
Kill-chain integration usually fails on trust rather than on plumbing. The feeds exist and the networks exist. The question is whether a commander can rely on what arrives, and account afterwards for what was done with it.
This programme brought together ISR feeds, edge sensors and command systems across environments where links are contested and nothing is guaranteed to arrive intact or on time. Latency mattered. So did provenance.
We built a distributed architecture in which data handling is governed at every hop. Traffic is encrypted end to end and routed through controlled nodes rather than whichever path happens to be shortest.
Each packet carries its own metadata. A node can relay it, rewrap it or decrypt part of it according to policy, without ever seeing more than its role requires. A relay does not quietly become a reader.
Decisions are logged as they are taken, against the rules of engagement in force at the time. That turns after-action review from reconstruction into reading.
The result is a chain that holds together when the network does not, and that a commander can defend once the operation is over.
